Color A, cast on a multiple of 8 sts and purl one round.
Round 1: Color B, SL1, K7.
Round 2 and all even rounds: With same color used on previous round, purl the knit stitches and slip the slipped stitches as they face you.
Round 3: Color A, K3, SL1, K1, SL1, K2.
Round 5: Color B, K2, SL1, K1.
Round 7: Color A, K1, SL1, K5, SL1.
Round 9: Color B, K4, SL1, K3.
Round 11: Color A, K1, SL1, K5, SL1.
Round 13: Color B, K2, SL1, K1.
