  • On RS rows, slip stitches with yarn in back.
  • On WS rows, slip stitches with yarn in front.
Color A, cast on a multiple of 4, + 1.
Color A, work 2 rows in stocking stitch.
Row 1 – RS: Color B, K1, SL1, K1, * SL3, K1; rep from * to last 2 sts, SL1, K1.
Row 2: Color B, P4,  * SL1, P3; rep from *to last st, P1.
Row 3: Color A, K2, * SL1, K3; rep from *to last 3 sts, SL1, K2.
Row 4: Color A, purl.
Row 5: Color B, K1, * SL3, K1; rep from * to end.
Row 6: Color B, P2, * SL1, P3; rep from * to last 2 sts, SL1, P2.
Row 7: Color A, K4, * SL1, K3; rep from * to last st, K1.
Row 8: Color A, purl.
